Where is your registry? I want to get you a gift!

We decided that we’ll just take 25% of all your gambling winnings. Kidding aside, we don’t have a registry but that’s so generous of you to offer. We know you’re already spending a lot of money on hotel & travel costs, so no gift necessary! Your presence is our present. Just don’t forget about us if you hit a big jackpot. 😉

Where is the ceremony & reception taking place?

The ceremony is at The Cosmopolitan Wedding Suite and the reception is at The Loft (Above Cabo Wabo). See our Wedding page for more details.

You can also click here to view a map.

What time should I get there?

The ceremony will begin at 4:30PM on Friday, December 7th. We ask that guests arrive at the Wedding Suite 15-20 minutes prior to get situated and mingle.

What should I wear?

Well we definitely wouldn’t want you to feel under-dressed, so dress to impress! We are softly suggesting “semi-formal,” which basically means a suit or cocktail dress. Is a suit or coat absolutely required? No! Cocktail casual attire is fine too. Not sure what cocktail casual means? Click or tap here.

Any other special attire notes to be aware of?

Keep in mind that December temperatures in Vegas can drop down to the 40s/50s at night. Not to worry though, both the ceremony and reception will be indoors! However there may be times where you will want to enjoy the amazing strip views from our room balcony during cocktail hour. You’ll also be outside during the < 5 minutes it will take to walk across the street to the reception venue.

Are all guests staying at The Cosmopolitan?

No! Some guests are staying at other nearby hotels that are most cost-effective. These hotels include:

  • Paris
  • Vdara
  • Bally’s
  • Flamingo

See the next couple answers below for promo codes and other recommendations.

Do you have a hotel room block or coupon code?

Yes! Glad you asked. If you’re staying at The Cosmopolitan, use promo code WGARZA8  (expires 11/6/2018). Two Bedroom City Suites can only be booked by calling 1-877-551-7772, but you can still use the promo code.

If you’re staying across the street at the Paris, as of 7/31/18  rooms start at $102.  Use promo code USA05 for a lower rate.

The Flamingo/Bally’s rooms start as low as $40/night with a promo for December. For Paris, Bally’s, or Flamingo use promo code USA05. You can also try promo code SEMI18 to see if you can get an even lower rate.

Do you have any tips for saving money or maximizing points for the Flight & Hotel?
  • Use the promo code(s) we mentioned above. Before you book your flight or hotel, run a google search for a coupon/promo code for the hotel or site you are using. For example, you might find a promo code on retailmenot.com or other similar sites.
  • If you have good credit, consider signing up for a Southwest and/or Marriott rewards credit card. This is especially recommended if you have a big purchase or two coming up in the next few months. Use the credit card for the big purchase(s), pay off the statement balance on time to avoid interest, then get points for free flights/hotel stay! If you decide to sign up for these credit cards, please let us know so we can give you a referral code.
  • The Cosmopolitan is affiliated with Marriott, so we signed up for a Marriott rewards credit card and are using points to help pay for our stay. If you have one or more big purchases coming up ($5000 or more within 3 months), use the Marriott credit card to pay and you will get 100,000 reward points. That would cover most if not all of your stay. I recommend checking out reddit.com/r/churning or thepointsguy.com for more on this.
  • You should book the cheapest room you can find for the hotel you decide to stay at. If you want to upgrade your room later, when you’re checking in, slip the hotel associate a $20 bill and ask them if they have any free upgrades available. Be somewhat discreet about it. It works more than half the time, so it’s worth a try. If they can’t accommodate you, they should give you the $20 tip back.
  • Also, most hotels offer FREE reward programs look into that a month before booking. The Cosmo Identity Rewards program offers a free buffet when signing up.
  • If you’re flying Southwest be sure to check out Southwest Vacations. It’s usually cheaper to book the flight & hotel together as package. For Southwest Vacations, try these promo codes for a discount:  50LASVEGAS
Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Glad you asked, yes we do! Feel free to tag your social media posts with #zeleo and/or #GarCYA.

Can we take pictures?

Yes! However, we prefer that you limit your photos during the ceremony and leave it to the pros! But that doesn’t mean you can’t get some cool shots of the strip view from the balcony if you get to the Wedding Suite early. As soon as the ceremony is over, please go crazy and take as many pics as you’d like! If you can, take video clips too cause we may not have a videographer!

Are children allowed?

We love ALL of your little ones, however we have decided to make this an adult-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Can I bring a guest?

Due to strict venue capacity, unfortunately we can’t host any additional guests that didn’t receive formal invitations. We wish we could invite more people, but we decided to have a small wedding that fits our budget.  We welcome anyone to come to Vegas and celebrate with us after the reception and throughout the weekend!

What’s for dinner?

We will have appetizers during cocktail hour. For the reception, guests can expect a three course plated dinner w/ salad, entree options are beef, chicken, or salmon.  Yes, there will be cake!  Please provide your choice on the RSVP page if you haven’t already done so. If you have any food allergies, please contact us so we can speak to venue about alternatives.

Will you be providing transportation to the reception venue?

No need! The reception venue is a short walk just across the street from The Cosmopolitan. If you have an injury or disability preventing from walking longer distances, we will do our best to provide you with a wheelchair or scooter.

What transportation options do you recommend for when I land in Vegas?

Uber or Lyft! After you land and grab your luggage (assuming you checked it in), go on the app and request your ride. There’s usually a line of uber/lyft drivers waiting to pickup riders at the airport, so it may not be necessary to request a ride too far in advance. Go to level 2M of the parking garage. Uber/Lyft will be cheaper than taxis for  pretty much everything. If you’re worried about waiting for a car you can schedule a pickup. There are designated areas where these drivers pick you up at casinos, so follow the signs.

If you want to go up/down strip get the Deuce Bus pass. $8 for 24 hours unlimited rides.

Will you be providing free alcohol?

Yes, of course!

When will the party end?

Never! The reception will end at 11PM. But we plan to head back to the room after to change and maybe  have some more drinks, and then head over to the High Roller observation wheel. Then after that, who knows?? Maybe Carnaval Court? We’re open to suggestions!
